if I make the start year 245 and and do the requerments needed for the Polybian reforms when the year is 242 will the reforms come?

And i don't think you get the Reforms in 242 if it works.
You have then only 12 turns to win the war against Epirus, conquer the eastern sicilian Provinces and conquer those northern gallic Provinces (which all have large armies including Gesaetae).

The requirement for the reforms is a certain number of passed turns since game start, so changing the starting year will not work. You have to change the minimum turn number in the EBBS script.

Seriously dude, what is the obsession with the reforms? This is the third thread on the topic in the space of a few hours. The whole fun of the game is the playing of it. Enjoy the challenge of getting all the triggers and getting the reforms as intended.
If you just want to see what the units are like, play a custom battle, its far easier...
