Modding desc_strat during campaign

Does anybody know if it's possible to mod the descr_strat file mid-campaign?
Or do you have to start over before your changes take effect - e.g. if I want to change the timescale from 2.00 to 1.00 - do I have to start a new campaign before it works?

yes, i am pretty sure you have to start a new one. Test it! Try a old one with the changes
