We the Orgahs, of Totalwar.org hereby propose the following the program be ratified. In cooperation with Disco and Caius Flaminius and the entire Org chat room, we propose an Org Radio Show! Current Ideas:

Drunkness with SFTS!

Music With BKS!

Dealing With Anger with Beriut!

Night Life With Ser Clegane!

OKAY OKAY. Maybe thats a bit too much, but you get the general idea. An Org radio show would be cool, and its not too hard to pull off.

How so?

There is apparantly a way to host freely, similar to what GWP channel does on mIRC for guildwars. Im not really sure, my friend did it once.

Hissing into a microphone with EMFM!
Org Band! Strike on the beat box, EMFM on the whilstling, Jag rapping.

How so?
Actually, as long as people are willing to commit to it it's not that hard (it was done on another forum i'm a regular at, and this (www.nodegamersradio.com/) is the result)

It'd certainly be interesting to see, but elementary to me, as it's not in my time zone.

Small problem here: the moderators have jobs, do they not? The only time they could possibly do this would be in their evenings. Although all their evenings are different and it could be fitted in, we have less moderators in GMT+9 than we do in GMT so the Orgers from that time zone will not get to hear the best of the programs and the staff member(s) chosen to cover that zone would have to be on all of their day, although for us GMT people all night, to provide music to the masses. Very complex, but I don't know how to say it any better.

Due to the above reasons I have decided that the best option would be not to do this. It would be a large commitment to the staff and who needs a radio show, this is the Org forums talking about TW, not the Music forums talking about music.

Avlvs,Why it should be done by the staff? I think doing this kind of stuff is just about finding Orgahs who are willing to sacrifice their time on making the radio show.

I suppose so. But are there any Orgers that would be willing to sacrifice all the time needed to make this work.

I did not intend it to be staff-only,Avlvs. I was only throwing out random ideas in hopes of them sounding even the smallest bit humorous.
It could be recorded for 1 hour on a saturday or something, and simply rerun to agree with other time zones. An hour a week isnt too much, is it?

It would be nice to have what guildwars has, hosted by Kestrel from Team Quitters (Top guild in GW). Its an hour long show once a week with special guests from the community, etc...

Im guessing Windows Media Encoder.

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/forpros/encoder/default.mspx

I can host it from my computer, and have several "guests" on at the same time if need be.

Hi, I wish to wish you good luck with this, it sounds like a good, interesting and entertaining project that will benefit this community immensely. However I was just wondering if you have to get copyright permissions before you can broadcast something on the internet or the radio? I'm not really sure, but you should check. Good luck again and sorry about the inconvenience if I'm wrong.

That is something that will have to be looked into, though i'm sure that there's a fair use provision somewhere (and if not, i'm sure there's an Org-er in some remote location without copyright laws who could host it :P )

;)

Ive decided, due to the big difference in time zones, and the fact that I cant figure out how to get windows media encoder to work, we will simply use skype to communicate, and then record the show.

If anyone is experienced with windows media encoder and would like to give a hand, please do.

You could use Skype and release the shows as Podcasts

Hello all, Garci again.

Since Hiji left the project and UltraWar doesnt seem to be online anymore, I, Garcilaso de la Vega el Inca, take the lead of this wonderful? project.

Then, lets use this thread to join, and we will need a better organization of this project.

Im thinking about a program about Whats happening in the org???, when we should talk about the Gahzette, new forums, mods at a glance, etcetera.

More programs and voices are welcome!

Cheers

Maybe you should try an org podcast first, then shuffle them through on a chanal once you get more.
