Jihads: What are the criteria for calling them?

I already looked in the FAQ, but it's a little vague. Does anybody know exactly what the criteria are to make a province "Jihad eligible?" Does a certain % of the population have to be Muslim already? If so, what is that %?

All you need to do is select one of your high ranking Imam's and they can call a Jihad. The eligible cities will appear on a list that comes up - just select one.

When I was ready to attack Endgland (playing as the Moors), I called a Jihad on London. :beam: I had a spy there and knew that they were not well protected and I had a fleet with a full stack army in the area. 2 turns later I captured London - and the extra bonuses for the Jihad. Really cool. :)

Sorry, I guess I wasn't very clear with my question. I'm not asking how to call a Jihad; that's fairly simple. I'm asking what makes some cities appear on the list of possible Jihads, while others don't. For example, I am currently playing as the Moors. I want to call a Jihad on London, but when I ask my Imam to do it, London doesn't appear as one of the options.

well this is not concerete but last ngiht i was looking to jihad to 2 cities. neither of them on the list.

i sent my imams to each province and after a couple of turns one of them was 20% and the other was at 17% muslim. the first one appeard on the lst while the second didnt.

i presume 20% to be the required muslim population.

i think there also certain provinces you can jihad to regardless of the muslim percentage as long as they are held by christians.
