I like about this mod that you dont have to be at war with your neighboors instantly, which mostly has been the case with vanilla and other mods (at least playin on VH and with BI.exe, which I always do).

I my roman campaign after conquering Italy up to river Po, Sicily, Corsica, Sardinia, Baleares and the carthage provinces in Spain thus ending the 2nd punic war the Arverni (with whom I have a border) and the Macedones (with whom I have no border) attack me every turn. But every turn I offer them peace and trade rights and they give in, although at one point the celts had taken siege on three cities and three forts with 7-8 full stacks. Every turn the same. Because I want to wait attacking them until reaching the historical year for conquering those provinces I offer them peace every turn. So its a practical option for me. Just wonder wether its intended. Ive been doin this for at least 20 turns now.

Don't let yourself be restrained by waiting for the historical year. Kill the bastards. Just do what I do and expand historically, but regardless of what date it is.

No I wont do that. I finished the 2nd punic war and make revenge wars on the macedonians. I dont conquer their lands, but hand them over to greece and other factions or let them rebel. Of course i destroy their barracks and military ports, thus reducing their potential. In that way Im able to control them pretty well and it makes a lot of fun.

But what I wondered was wether that diplomacy part is intended.

Diplomacy in RTW is retarded and backwards. It is all hardcoded and modders just have to deal with it.

Most of the time when you get a peace treaty the AI will immediately attack you again.
