Hi,

I installed EB following the instruction in the thread that Brittanicus posted somewhere further down the page.
When I start the game on the desktop it goes immediately to the introduction screen (so far so good), but it takes ages before it gets to the loading screen (like 5 minutes or something) and then just when the loading is finished I get a CTD :wall:
Edit : and after the CTD my screen just turn blue, like byebye background (but that's a mere detail)

Any help?

Edit 2 : This time I got to the screen with "Single Player" etc.. on!!!
But the moment I hit one with my mouse... indeed, CTD and blue screen
something working alright, but something most be wrong too...
Anyone any idea what?

Sounds like it could be a corrupted download. Uninstall EB and your existing R:TW and try my guide again.

Should I download EB 0.8 itself again from the site?
Or just uninstall the game (EB and RTW) and then install both again with the same EB setup (the thing you download from the site)?

You have to uninstall EB and R:TW then download it again and install it again :dizzy2:

Removed/deleted everything and downloaded and reinstaled it again...
Still no good... CTD everytime

Does EB has higher system requirements? I had no trouble playing RTW at medium high settings so I don't think this will be the problem, but who knows...

And if no solution can be found I'll give it another go when .81 arrives...

Try this (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=75948). It could possibly be because there is not enough RAM memory available for EB to use.

I have 512MB so if it works on your 256 it should work fine..

And since the game crashes while on main menu, I can't change the graphic options anyway..

It could be a graphics card issue. What card do you have and do you have the latest drivers?

Not a very good card, I know. But since I was able to play RTW at medium high settings...

This seems to becoming a problem. Perhaps there is a bug with some R:TW Golds that causes problems with complex mods such as EB. Have you installed other mods before successfully and do you have CD gold or DVD gold?

Gold DVD and no other mods before because there weren't any for Gold DVD..
Tried tweaking around it with the previous EB, but that just gave me an even more immediate CTD...

It didn't work either, same CTD on the main menu...
So I'm pretty sure my pc is the problem...
I think I'll give up...
Well atleast it's only me, so other people can still enjoy this magnificent mod! :2thumbsup:
