patch 1.1 help

I'm sorry if this topic has been beaten into the ground. I'm having issues getting the 1.1 patch to install proper.

There was no tools\unpacker folder in my MTW2 directory, so I created one. Then I put the patch files in that folder and ran the unpack_all batch file. It still says version 1.0 under the options menu. Something obvious I'm missing?

You don't need the unpacker to make the patch work, you only need to install the patch and that should be it, unless you want the unpacker?

You download the zip file, extract it, go to the place you extracted it, run both files.

if you want modded files, make a text file in your m2tw directory, put in the path C:\program files etc...\medieval2.exe -- io file first

(its thats wrong someone will post the corrected one. If they dont, its in the mod forum.)

To clarify, extract the patch to a folder on your desktop, open the folder and run setup.exe to patch the game.

Don't worry about unpacking if you don't mod.
