Well, I was surfing ebay, saw a cheap auction for TW2, time running out, bid and won... But it comes from Thailand! Now I've been shopping for TW2 since it came out, and know that ebay is flooded with Thai versions... But somehow missed it this time.
Anyhow, they're shipping the disks, but no box or manual. I collect and keep all my manuals and boxes from every PC game I've ever had, so I'd really like to get ahold of both, but especially the manual, as this game seems more complex than prior TW series.
Any help? Maybe an online PDF of the manual or something?!?:help:
THANKS!
Huh? Can't you just get it from some store nearby or something? Why would you order it online?

This might be an unpopular opinion, but who cares about the manual? The best info on playing the game is right here. The only reason to read the manual is to avoid posting a question that gets the inevitable "Did you read the manual" response.
It was on sale at Best Buy or someplace similiar for $24.99 for the holidays I think.

The manual is online free.
I read it before i bought the game.
You said "discs." Did you get more than one? Honestly it sounds like you've bought a pirated copy, as to my knowledge all versions of the game come on a single DVD-ROM disc.

That a fact? Mine came on 2.

Mine came with 3 discs-apparently the first versions came with a soundtrack disc as well as 2 for the game. And a nifty map. And a unit and building flow chart-though it was only useful for the intially available factions. Oh yeah, and a manual.......
!!!
Nevermind. As soon as I posted that I stupidly remembered that it does indeed come on two DVD's. Just not used to games coming on more than one DVD yet. I apologize, I would have edited my post if I had the option to (I don't see any edit button).

Mine came with three; 2 game discs and the soundtrack. As well as...
Oh, nvm, Snoil hit it all already.
I occasionally buy games from eBay, but anything that ships from Asia I just won't buy. I figure it's probably a 75% chance it's a pirated copy. They were selling M2 on eBay from Thailand before the game came out in the US, and at below retail price.
And you are wrong. I bought the same game from the same seller and it is a an original. However the seller wrote it in ebay, that the manual is in thai so it is no suprise.
If someone tells me if it is legal to put the manual online, I will do it so you can download it.

Yeah, original software from thailand. That'll be the day. Dunno if you've ever been to a high street software shop in thailand, but the cost of the software runs something like this: $5 per disc. Thats regardless of whether this disc contains a $50 PC game or $20,000 worth of CAD software. The value of the data is irrelevant, youre paying for the costs of making the disc and printing the cover.
Thats not from some dodgy market stall, or from the back of somebodys car, but from a high street shop.
Chance its pirated if its from thailand? 90% (conservative estimate)
Chance its pirated anyway if its from ebay? 50% (total guess)
Chance your software is legit if you bought it from thailand on ebay?
No disrespect to Thais, who are no doubt great people, but this thread is starting to raise alarm bells. :closed:
