I was wondering if I could connect my LCD monitor to a Playstation 2. I'm thinking about getting one, and hooking it up to my screen would save me space and have a better size/resolution than any TV I'd have.
:book:
Neither. The Xbox and Xbox 360 both had/have VGA connectors that were/are standard retail. But the PS2 didn't. The Linux kit had a VGA connector, but that was mail-order only and discontinued. You can get component cables for the PS2 and you just might be able to get your hand on a converter.
Issue with PS2 I believe is it outputs in 480i, which means it doesn't work with VGA. Xbox output in 480p, so it's easy enough to make a VGA cable work.
That's my understanding anyway. Getting a PS2 to look good on a monitor is tricky...
Actually if you hook it to component cables the PS2 will run in 480P. Been setting my PS2 games to run as such recently.
Will only make it look less good, get one of these tiny ps2, roughly the size of two DVD cases.
