There my makedonian army stood at the bridge. Outnumbered 4:5 with heavy numbers of gelatian wild men fighting for Arche Seleukia. Surounded and wearied they fought. Through stroke of luck they won, slaughtering them lossing a miraculous 300 while leaving only a few hundred left in the enemies armies. It then loads to campiagn map and before it's displayed, crashes.

It involved 2,485 of my own, against their 4,261: 1,744, 625, 71, 1821 respectively. It was a major heroic victory, leaving only a handful over a hundred left in Arche Seleukia's armies. The 4 armies of reinforcements for the enemy, all arrived and were not delayed.:wall:

Were there family members included? Is this the dreaded, That which shall not be mentioned?

I have had a couple post battle CTD since 0.80 came out. Though if I replay the fight and make sure that no enemy family members escape, I am OK.

Yes family members were included. On both sides. It was lead by my faction heir also.

Hello!
I installed EB 0.8, and started campaign with Baktria. First battle with one of my family generals against Eleutheroi in open field : heroic victory and It then loads to campaign map and before it's displayed, crashes too.:furious3:
This mod seems unstable...
the game is slow, a lot of time of loading.
Sometimes, during the winter, the snow texture is only on some parts of the map.
do you have some solution?
This mod seems very complete historically, very good job. So I'm very impatient to play without crash!!!!

There still seems to be some remnant of the reinforcement CTD. It looked like it was totally fixed (thanks to Bovi helping our team figure out what was causing it), but although it's much rarer now, it does seem to still be around. This problem did not result from our errors, but from unknown limits that the game itself (RTW) has that have never been stated by the creators. It's very very difficult for us to find every bit of this stuff out on our own when limits are not explained by the creators, and other mods don't push the limits of the game anywhere near as much as we do. I've never had a reinforcement CTD after a battle in 0.80, but I certainly don't doubt that they still happen. We do as best as we can with **one** trait person, especially since our trait mastermind just totally disappeared one day about six months ago. Sorry, but if you can't handle the mod as it is now, that's the best we can do for now.

Don't know if you meant me by that. But I didn't intend to come off as whining. I might have been blunt, but that's usual. Eb is great and I've played it since it first went open beta. The bug's dont bother me since it's such a great game. Which is why I posted the bug, so it could be fixed. Even tryed to repeat it a couple times, worked.

Only after battle CTD I've had on .80. Shocked me, still caught myself crossing my fingers during a load after any reinforcement battle.

If you're not afraid of editing the trait files, you can try to save your campaign (and help us test) by commenting out all instances of the NumFriendsInBattle conditional (add a semi-colon at the start of the line). I can't guarantee that it will work, but it's the most likely suspect (actually, if it isn't it, then I have no suspects at all).

No Bigtex, I was responding to noun. He was complimentary, but saying that this mod seems unstable needed a clear response: which is that we apologize, but if someone can't handle the mod as it is now, that's the best we can do until the next build (which will still have the reinforcement CTD - though again it's much rarer than it was in 0.74 we think).
