:help: i played medieval for a long time without any problems, all parts of the game. i wanted to play again after not playing for a long time but unfortunately i cant get the campaign mode to play. i pick settings and fraction and it starts to load then ctd. i can play everything just not the campaign mode. any ideas:help:

If you have an nvidia card try setting anti aliasing to 2x, if not then it may be due to your having updating your graphics cards driver. Post up some system specs?

Not an expert on that kind of question but it rings a bell. If my memory is correct, it could have something to do with the drivers of your video card which you would need to dowgrade so that it can handle the campaign map. I'll make a seach and post whatever reference I can come up with.

Another tip, set the following:

-Campaign map resolution to 800x600;
-Battlemap resolution to 1024x768.

These settings have helped some people.

Hmmmm... I seem to remember someone else having problems running the game on one of those Intel integrated graphics chips. They're not the best unfortunately, and if it can be upgraded, even to a low end Radeon, you could only benefit from it. I'll have a look around for that other thread.
