Hi
Hope this hasn't been covered before - if it has I apologise
Two examples:
1)Turks besieged by the Mongols in, I think, Trebizond. I destroy their siege equipment and wipe out their rather meagre infantry forces. The massed HA's and other cavalry units then just wait outside ( the gate is still closed and they haven't breached any walls). In my opinion I've won ie. sucessfully prevented them from siezing the castle but my only option is to press esc and lose.
2) England commanded by Faction Leader ( forget which ) besieged in Antwerp by Danish and HRE ally. The Danes attack ( various siege weapons etc. ) I defeat them. They rout. But the HRE force ( which doesn't have any siege equipment ) simply sits outside the walls. Same dilemma: I've won but can't close without losing. In this case I lose patience, sally and am massacred with loss of Faction Leader.
Thanks for reading.
