View Full Version : Query - What prefixes do you want for Citadel threads?

We now have the option to attach prefixes to thread titles - for example, this one has the prefix Query. Does anyone have any recommendations for terms they would like to use as prefixes for the Citadel?

So far, I have come up with:

Hint
Query
Strategy
Research

Have I missed out any obvious ones? Prefixes should be short - one word or abbreviation.

A lof of the other obvious ones - technical, MP, modding, AAR - are not appropriate for the Citadel as we have other forums for them.

As funny as that was, i think it's needed.

Maybe, Rant so its not insulting. I get sucked into those because of the titles, but if it had Rant: Bad i could stay away, and other people who dont like them can avoid them.

Disgusting for example, was misleading to me.

I believe Rant Good and Rant Bad are needed.

Just keep it at one - i doubt it would be used overmuch anyway (not many people can admit that they're ranting)

The good natured members can, and although im new, i can.

It takes maturity to say that you are ranting.
Did i say how much fun ranting is?

Back to topic, since mostly the good natured members can (ie Senior Members, Mods, other awsome members) the Rant Bad wouldnt be used...i see your meaning now sapi, i bow to your modliness wisdom

@peevegreen. it's useful for threads like Foz's sheild one or Dopps Pike one though. you can post about the bug in the bug thread. but you'll get the communities attention more with a seperate thread.

@diablodelmar - i think the 'observation' one would cover that, though it is an idea.

I was wondering about "opinion", that would cover "comment". Perhaps also "debate" - e.g. for threads debating how strong should spears be vs cav etc.

Maybe a "realism" prefix for the threads debating how powerful longbows were in history? And perhaps a "balance" prefix for ones discussing whether units are too powerful for their cost etc?

I know there's likely to be an overlap between categories, but sometimes a thread focuses on a specific angle that could be emphasised by a prefix.

Yeah, that sounds good Econ. Was what I had in mind when I suggested my idea too. the ability to put some specific focus on somthing and make it fairly clear what that is.

"Bugfx" is another obvious one, I guess.
