Hi there and welcome,
May I suggest that you try this modification (http://www.twcenter.net/downloads/db/?mod=774) which unlocks all of the non-playable factions in Barbarian Invasion, including the emergant ones. Good luck and enjoy your play as one of the non-playable factions. Cheers.

May I suggest that you go into your descr_strat text file which will be in either Program Files/The Creative Assembly/Rome: Total War/BI/data/world/maps/campaign/barbarian_invasion/descr_strat.txt or Program Files/Activision/Rome: Total War/BI/data/world/campaign/barbarian_invasion/descr_strat

Once you have done that then change this:

campaign barbarian_invasion
options bi
playable
huns
goths
sarmatians
vandals
franks
saxons
alemanni
sassanids
empire_east
empire_west
end
unlockable
end
nonplayable

celts
burgundii

Well, I have modificated it. Hopefully it is doing it now, but thanks! Badly enough you cant play the other factions, and can u change cost of units and timeline'?

Yes, you can change the timespan and the cost of units. Unfortunately me, being the absolute idiot that I am, have no modding skill so I cannot help you with the second one. You appear to be missing the tab in from of each faction. It should look like this:

To fix your problem you need to press the tab key infront of every faction's name. If you still struggle then you can PM me your e-mail address and I will send you a working copy of my file so that you can overwrite your existing one. Good luck.

Sadly, to unlock all, of them you need to download the mod which I mentioned a while ago. Unfortunately the link does not seem to be working, it may have something to do with TWC's recent tragedy, so may I suggest that you try this alternate download link (http://www.3ddownloads.com/Strategy/Rome%20Total%20War/Mods/all.zip). It had celts on the file twice, so i removed the one under unplayable. Im good to go
