Some of you may remember me from TWC, and I want to ask the community in exile something.
When we start our new haven, our Constatinople, we must remember what has transpired. There have been people who have decided that the achievement of power, no matter how little power, was more worthy than doing good. Their ambition overcame their conscience, and we must safeguard ourselves against that. We must remember to have joy come not from obtaining rank and position, but rather from doing what we love, discussing politics, religion, history, and everything. Talking about a game we love or we love to hate. Bringing together some of the most intellectual people of the interweb and allowing them to discuss in a relative open environment. All that should be our goal, not some flashy badge or some power over others.
Having said that, I ask for a pardon of those who did bad on TWC. Start everyone affresh, and as such I suggest if we use an updated database reducing everyone to one post count, remove all infractions, and badges of rank, except to those who led us to this destination, Garbar, Prof420, Imb, Mimir, Sim, Lusted and all those with them who spent time and money to create the Constatinople who should be our new sites first Patricians. From that core, the upper rank, the ranks of civitates will increase. In this pardon, I include HA, H&G and their gang. We may never grant them power again, but allow them to rejoin us unless they again prove to be troublesome and bad for the community. As many of you know I opposed their rise to power, maybe not with the verociousness of others, but I was their enemy in my own way.
