id even go for 2 turns per year. im currently playin the "lands to conquer mod" which is good fun but with the current 1 turn=2 years it takes 6 years to march from london to edinburgh which is a bit daft.

i realise it would be possible to mod it but there probably a lot of other things that would have to be modded to keep things balanced.

so are there any other major mods that are out that that have what i ask?

cheers

Well your wrong, LTC is 1 turn = 1 year. Just make sure your using the right desktop icon to launch the game. And make sure the mod is installed properly. If you run the mod using the Lands to Conquer icon on the desktop you should see the new loading screens. The campaign is 1 year per turn in my mod.

If you run the campaign you should see the date in the bottom right and it will advance by one year every turn.

You can easily convert it to one year per turn. It's in the very top of the descr_strat file in the campaign folder. Just change it from 2.0 to 1.0 and you're done. You don't need any fancy mods for that, unless you also want modified building upgrade costs/times and the like.
