Need help with bug [Archive]

I have a mission which says if I do not join the crusade I will be ex-comd. However, this mission is also person specific. That person has since died. The mission is still active. Any idea how to get rid of the mission? I'm not familiar with modding; I opened the save file but it was all greek to me =). Any help would be appreciated.

What person is it?

Normally it's either your faction heir or faction leader... if this is the case, just treat it as the same mission for the current one.

Normally it's either your faction heir or faction leader... if this is the case, just treat it as the same mission for the current one.

The mission said "your heir" however it named the king by name. I had both the new king and the heir join the crusade. Didn't work. I decided to just suck it up and press on. I didn't get ex com'd, but they did send an inquisition.
