Sorry guys, but why are we celebrating?

It appears that the PM count has been raised for normal members. I assume Seniors got a raise as well. Something to do with the Mafia games, maybe?

I'm personally very happy to see the increase and indeed did notice this too. And I'm also appreciative of the admins trying to make things better in general like this. :2thumbsup:

This is very much appreciated. Thanks to Org staff for making this happen.

This is certainly positive. Many PMs that I earlier had to delete followed with a little regret as they were quite important, but this is certainly a great update :2thumbsup:

Well, you could have simply saved them to your hard drive...

What is this Pea-eM of which you speak, and why are its numbers so important?

Unlike your supreme former-administratoress, who has no need to worry about PM capacity, we mere mortals must scrunge and claw for the few PM slots that fall our way and use the little we have to best effect.

I had over 60 from the first round of Seamus's mafia game:help:

It's a different kind of worry.
It's a different kind of worry.

I remeber the days when we had the limit of only 20 *sigh*
Unfortunly I have never heard of those days, it just sounded good!

Thank the Gods (TosaInu)
I had a b$%*# of a time with 17th Century, WW1, and a couple other forum games. All these PMs going back and forth, I needed space!

Thanks TosaInu!
This just foes to show that if you whine and complain often enough, in enough threads, you will get what you want.
Throttling is done to secure at least some board performance.

In my youth we had only one PM... yeah.. that is right we had to delete the one we had sent to be able to receive one.
*the kids of today... they get pillows sewed under their arms* :beam:

..
In my youth, we had to delete 10 PM's, request the admin by e-mail to reset our postcount, delete all our posts in the OT forum, hum a few ja matas and then we could sent one PM of maximum six characters.
..
In my day you had to send your PM once a week by carrier pigeon - it was faster than my 28.8kbps modem - and you were glad of it!
In my days, we didn't have something to write our pm's on. We had to run to our recipient and deliver the message using our voice. Afterwards, we needed to delete the message using massive amounts of alcohol. The day after we were forced to run back home, with an enormous hangover.
Ha! Those were the days...

Carrier pigeons? Bah! Some of us didn't have space for them. When I joined the PM limit was so tight I wrote two guides so I had an excuse to ask for a couple more slots. Back then we had to work for our boosts, none of this free 'sudden inbox boost' stuff you get nowadays. Before you know it you'll have PMs which write themselves, or some such idleness supporting nonsense. Youth of today, they want everything on a plate.
:winkg:
:Basks in her 800 PM limit: It fills up so quickly. And takes so long to empty. ~:mecry:

Ha! Where I live we still have one PM. Go figure, one PM and they had to pick the lousiest politician of the whole bunch.
If only we could delete him... :wall:

Thanks for upping up the limit. I had to erase some stuff early on which I later needed. :embarassed:
Hopefully it won't happen again. (Of course, raising it again, won't hurt anyone, now will it?) :laugh4:
