I don't yet know if this is a hardware or software question, so apologies if it's in the wrong forum. While in the MTW2 tactical battle mode, I've noticed that the camera controls are a bit sluggish. Specifically, when I move the mouse "off-screen" to rotate or shift the view, the movement continues for several seconds after I pull the mouse back. This makes pointing your view where you wish somewhat difficult.
I may be remembering MTW1 with rose-tinted glasses, but I seem to remember that the view movements were pretty crisp and responsive. I've tried changing many of the game settings such as reducing camera rotation speed and reducing shadows (in case it was a performance issue) to no avail. This leads me to believe that it is one of two things:
1) It's a feature, not a bug, and the game is meant to work that way.
2) My hardware is deficient. I've got a pretty good system with an Athlon X2 dual core processor and 2 GB of system memory, but my graphics card weak: an on-board graphics chip that can use up to 256 MB of system memory. I've verified that it is using the full 256 MB that it is capable of using.
I suppose there is a third possibility: I'm getting old and slow with the mouse. :laugh4:
Anyone else run into this? Thanks for your help!
