I've been trying to import the CAS files into 3DS Max, and I even followed the guide in the modelling tutorials section, yet it always comes out weird like this:

Does anybody know what I'm doing wrong?

I also can't figure out how to import the textures, too.
First part I'm not really sure about, but it looks like you've imported an animation CAS instead of a model CAS. You have to import the model first and then the animation.
The second part to load a texture, once the model is loaded press M then under Maps click the None for Diffuse and it will bring up a bitmap menu then select the bitmap to be your texture.

Importing the animations and textures don't work for me. What files do I import as the animation? Also, to use the texture, there is no "None" of "Diffuse" in my 3DS Max. I have 3DS Max 7.

Ok, I can NOT figure out how to do this. Can somebody tell me exactly what to do in order to import the model with a texture, and also the animation so I can pose it?
-open the material window by pressing m
-drag and drop your texture file on first ball
-select all your model's parts
-drag and drop the first ball on parts you selected
i have no idea how you made this nice pose lol, maybe download newer version of cas importer. Maybe you're importing an old version of cas, try importing a diffrent one. Dunno what else :sweatdrop:
Alright.
1. You must use Verx's cas importer exporter. Import a model cas.
Usually found in data/models_unit
2. Do what Elessar said.
Note: In the models_unit folder there are a few models which cas importer has trouble reading. It will present an error (something about the model being incompatible). Avoid using those.
Edit: I see that you have "Import Animations" and "Force Texture Path' ticked off in the Import. Untick "Import Animations".
Mine looks like this:

Which leads me to believe that you are using an outdated cas i/e.
