Elephants

Hey, I can't remember how to get Elephant units. I know that, as the Romans, you an get some elephant units, but where and how I can't remember. Any tips?

I was able to buy elephant mercs once somewhere in the middle east... But for the life of me I can't remember where. I never found them again.

Then there might also be chance the senate gives you a unit as a reward.

Other than that (or a mod) I don't know of a way.

Hi,
Fortunately you can get elephant mercenaries as the Romans (and all other factions) in elephant regions such as the wealthy land around Carthage. These "elephant" regions are marked with a small elephant on them showing one that almighty elephants can be recruited as mercenaries in that province and in the city should you be a faction that can train elephant units from a city. Enjoy playing with your elephants and cheers!
