View Full Version : variations of the 2hnd bug?

woodsmen get pwn3d by anything , i even set them up against a unit of kerns in melee (attack of 2?) and they were decimated with hardly any kerns being killed ...

i then put up kerns against other 2handed units , they did very well against the scots hvy inf ( 2hnd ones wielding axes) , only reason they did not wipe them out was due to the heavy inf armour ..

though the kerns reign of terror stopped when i upped them against 2hnd nobles (with swords) they did not hold up too badly though .... surely they should of been slaughtered by nearly each one of these 2hnd weapon units?!


i have read that certain 2hnd units, such as janisary inf do fairly well, as do billmen and certain pike units ..though i found that whilst playing as denmark ,the swordstaff militia, obudshaer, and norse axmen do fairly poorly against most units .

The 2 handed bug affects all units with the 2 handed axe animation which is the following units:

Billmen
Bill Militia
Heavy Billmen
Heavy Bill Militia
Berdiche Axemen
Varangian Guard
Norse Axemen
Gallogiach
Religious fanatics
Eagle Warriors
Dismounted English Knights
Dismounted Noble Knghts
Dismounted Portugese Knights
Free Company Men-At-Arms
Tabnarayyra(or however you spell it)

it makes playing as russia difficult , they seem to charge ok , provided they all charge in sync . but i would say the 2hnd axe units are all bugged + their movements are all cumbersome.

on a side note , anyone notice that skirmishers do not change to melee when ordered to engage ,until they a short distance from the enemy? they seem to stop , then change to melee , then charge .. meanwhile the general has already charged ahead of the unit!?

Yes all 2 handed axe units are bugged, like i said.

thats right all the ones that take a month to rear back and hack at someone.
