Hi all
i got a fue Questions i got 5 MTW modded on my PC and last cople of times if i finished playing and stop the game i get a error message from windows saying Demo shield runtime player and then it tells me put a cd rom in it, It looks like the game is still playing and i cant stop it so i put the disk in it again and and i must stop it with the unmodded MTW ??? dose somme body else got theis problem????

Demo Shield is the copy protection on the CD. Never experienced that.

Demoshield is not copy protection, it's a program for creating interactive menus. such as the MTW game launcher menu that appears when you insert the CDROM (unless you've got autorun disabled like me).

axel, you need to post up more info. Can you provide the exact error message?

Ok mate s this is wot i found if the popup shows up with the error after clicking a little link on the error message :

and if i look at my system logbook i see 2 red tods with white crosses and the first message is : application error, catogorie(100), ID 1000

second message in my logbook is application error, catogorie(100), ID 1005

it looks like if i quit a game and i go exit ill get the startmenu where it say s instal,uninstall,play,installdirect,and quit game and more , if i press quit ill go directly to my cd-dvd-rom player to press the button and getting my dvd MTW out, then i get the error message it looks like it never quits.
BUT it only dose this sommetimes with ONLY modded MTW not with the unmodded one and the DVD player is good and not broken i am shure of that.

but wot do you meen about this:such as the MTW game launcher menu that appears when you insert the CDROM (unless you've got autorun disabled like me). this sounds good wot is it??? and cane i do this ???
and do you have more MTW modded on your PC???

correction:then i get the error message. It looks like the game never quits.

Can you run the game ok from the shortuct on your desktop?

yes mate i got 5 shortcuts 1 is the unmodded and 4 modded if i want to play one of the modded MTW then this is wot i do all shortcuts got different names. Ok i put the cd-rom disk in my dvd player and double click on one of the modded shortcut then the modded game (1 that i select) will run and it will play good. But if i will not double click on one of the shortcuts it will automaticly run the unmodded MTW version. the error is only when is quit the game. I notice when this happens i even cant shutdown my computer it just hangs, i cane do everything except shutdown ???? and this normaly meens there s a software problem and my guess is the hanging of MTW (the error i keep getting) it not only dont quit the game but my PC cant shutdown propaly so it hangs (but this is not evereytime i play ).

is there sommething like a patch or sommething to play this with out a cd-rom???? just click on the shortcut and play? i meen i got MTW with VI and i got MTW gold edition and i got MTW battlecollection all originels wot cane i say i just love this game and will play it till i am verry old :2thumbsup:

You just need to disable the autorun on the CDROM that will prevent the demoshield from even starting. Follow the link I posted.
