You can unselect the things but you have to have the points to do so.

The trick is to have it start in Central Europe.

You can't start anywhere.

The trick is to get it infectious before lethal. Then crank up the lethality. I was killing 100k people a day at the end. "The end of mankind is near" :whip:

The key for ME is.
Step 1:Allow virus to spread locally, an accumulate points so you can boost up the second column of options. It increases the ability for the virus to spread, since it resists heat, water, and is airborne, waterbourne, etc. Keeps the ability to see it low, while increasing lethality.
Step 2:Allow viurs to spread to all continents, and then send the deadly but obvious signs to the limit. It boosts your lethality, and while you can see it more easily, it's now to late.

The obvious problem is that you have to be able to accurate hit the benchmarks so it will produce maximum kills while still able to spread.

I just jumped the infectivity, waited until I had every single person in the world infected, then sent the deadliness from 2 to 22.

I killed everybody in North America - not bad for one days work really. Could have been better, I'm not especially good at this game really.

Killed everyone... 6648 points... did so by getting rid of every lethality thingy - had a lethality of -1 at one point. Ramped up the infectiousness then picked the lethality ones that raised infectiousness without affecting visibility overly much first. Oh, and started in Central Asia.

I killed off everyone, including Western Europe, with a death toll of 584999. I guess that leaves one human left, but he's hardly going to be very succesful recreating the human race on his own is he? Score: 6500.
BTW, don't you just love their definition of "Central Europe"?

It took a few tries, but I got it in under 100 days. I should have paid more attention to the number infected. Once I realized that everyone was infected I upped the lethality. Sloppy in retrospect. :shame:
