ik instald the game ans now?
i think i need a patch an register on gamespy?
wwhat patch do i need to play?

ps. are there old vetrans in this game maybe old mokumknights?

Hi Sir Teun,

Sry but I don't understand the problem. YOu have to install MTW, VI and the patch 2.01. You have to input your key and it should work. Thats all you need.

If you have forgotten your gamespy account, you have to create a new one.

Hey m8,

for MTW1 You will need to install the patch 1.1 and fpr the add on "Vikings Invasion" You will upgrade to 2.01.

You can find the patches on www.totalwar.org and click the download links, then on mtw, then patches, or use this direct link:

http://www.3ddownloads.com/totalwar/MTW/patches

(We prefer to play the Vikings add on by the way.)


After upgrading the game to 1.1 or 2.01 for VI and starting the game, You only need to click on "Multiplayer" in the main, and on the next page "Play on gamespy" on the top. Or, if You dont have an account, You first have to click on "register on gamespy".

I hope this will help You to solve the problems.

If you go into gamespy and in the MTW1 lobby gamespy should advise you to download the patch thus giving you the name of the patch and the option to download it :2thumbsup:

jsut do as Luculus said, plus not many play mtw1, all play viking invasion then addon for mtw1 :):duel: :turkey: :england:

For these who make a new installation at all:

1. Install MTW
2. Install VI add on
3. Install patch 2.01 (this is including patch 1.1)
