I don’t remember my dreams often but when I do they tend to be wired, like last night I dreamt that someone was driving through fields and smashing through the gates and i remember Pumpkins.

Dream symbology interpreted, courtesy dreammoods dot-com (http://www.dreammoods.com/dreamdictionary/) (for amusement only):
To see a pumpkin in your dream, implies openness and your receptiveness to new ideas and experiences. A pumpkin is also symbolic of the female sexuality. Alternatively, it may relate to the popular fairy tale of Cinderella where a carriage turns back into a pumpkin. In this regard, it may represent some situation in which time is running out
To dream that you are riding in an automobile, signifies that even in pleasant situations, you will still be restless and uneasy.
To dream that you nearly escape from the impact of an automobile, denotes that you will successfully overcome any rivalry
To see or pass through a gate in your dream, suggests that you are walking through a new phase of life. It also represents new opportunities and possibilities
So, you observed someone (not you) moving into a new life-phase... I think? :laugh4:
Thanks for the site.
I remember a dream where I was playing RTW, without troops!
Well actually it was a wierd one. I first was walking around in Paris at night, then I was a busdriver, then a painter and in the end I was in bet with a women. I'll leave out the details. My dreams never make sense, this one was quite normal for my dreams.
Like that dream everybody tought that I was a turkey, while I was just me. Well in the end I burned down the school and they arrested someone else. And then It became vague.
Nowadays I don't remember much of my dreams. Tough when I was kid I was. I even had video game like dreams. I dreamt it over and over again. One of themwas like this:I, my sister and two cousins we're in a cave. Whil my mother was buying stuff in a shop of an old women next to it. My mother was holded up in there, than the old women came outside to call us back in for a piece of pie. But than we discovered she was in fact a witch. Then we fled into the cave. That appeared to be a maze and the women sended some kind of monsters after us. I always was the one to die first. But everytime I dreamt it we got further. secret passages we found out, things we knew that we would die if we'd do something. SO everytime we got further and after the eight or so tiem we got away safely and I never had the dream again. I had a few others of those too, but they tend to repeat themselves 3 times or so. And frankly I can't remember them. Only that one. Except for a vague one where me my sister and the two cousins when after Marc dutroux in a large boat. We got him after the third or the second time. And I can barely remember. I only remember to have dreamt catching him really. The other one however, I remeber almost completly. Even after so manny years. Kinda creepy in a way. Like it actually happened.
I always have strange dreams...but i dont remember anyone
don't you remember me? :egypt:

I too have a hard time recalling dreams. I constantly get that thing of waking up, remembering the dream vividly, but by the time I'm out of bed all I know is that it was 'wierd'. My dad on the other hand has dreams almost every night, clear as day and remembered word-for-word. He was telling me about one the other day..
Both he and my mother are looking to buy a house down in the Cotswalds, and are having a hard time trying to pick one out. So it's been playing on his mind for a while now. Because of this, he had a dream that he'd just been shown around the perfect house. Everything was great. And then he goes outside, shakes the estate agent's hand, and then wanders to his car. When he's there he sees some young red haired woman in the garage, getting out of her car. The house itself isn't supposed to be occupied, so he asks her what she's doing there. In what he remembers as an Irish she tells him that she'd been living as a squatter in the garage for years now. After she tells him this he wakes up and can't get back to sleep again for the remainder of the night, as he mulls over how he might be able to get this lass out. :laugh4:
I've found myself remembering childhood Nightmares now, too. The earliest one I can focus on was short. Tottering down stairs in the pitch black, and entering the front room of our old house in York, only to see some eerie figure wearing a hood, silhoutted by the street light. Simple, yet it clearly scared my arse off.
Dreamed of waking up...and doing my daily routine. Then, at about noon in my dream, my classroom was attacked by a catepillar. Wierd....its been bugging me all day.

Here is a very short strange one I had last week:
I was a member of SG1 (as in Stargate SG1), but I was/looked like Billie Piper (as in the actress who plays Rose in Doctor Who). I could feel something moving on my neck, then somebody pulled something off it and showed it to me. It was some kind of crazy looking multicoloured snail (I hate snails). I then screamed (in the dream) and woke up with that odd feeling something had been on my neck.:dizzy2:
Sometimes I remember dreams from years ago, as if I was in real places, and I can remember these places in full detail even when I am awake. Mostly completily nonsensical, I have no idea how I cook it up. A common theme : rising water, with each wave the waterlevel rises, scary and fun at the same time.

Since everybody else is talking about dreams from long ago I might as well share some of mine from when I was between the ages of four and ten. They all involved toast, butter and the legendary and evil Lane Lanes
They seiriously were the nightmares of my childhood. Every night I would be having a nice dream about some fairy tale or something and then I would find two lane lanes. One of the many that I remeber was when I was being a male version of little red riding hood. I was merrily skipping through the woods and then, I came to a town. I entered it and, in between some mulit-story tudor style houses, there was a courtyard. In the courtyard were two big towering lane lanes playing tag together! I entered the yard saw them and silently ran out, hoping they had not seen me. Lukily they hadn't seen me but, sadly, they had instead smelt me! They chased after me to the tune of the Thomas the Tank Engine classic "trucks are pushing the engine tune", one grabbed me, it all went dark and the fast paced "chase" music stopped. The next thing I saw was toast being buttered with me on it in a large stone castle. I was then consumed by the big evil creature.
After that terrible dream I woke up in the darkness to see shadows around me. Being the age that I was thought they were lane lanes so I closed my eyes and hid under my sheets.
Those dreams terrified me. I do however, blame Wolves Witches and Giants, which was a scary children's TV program I enjoyed watching around that time, for planting scary ideas into my head :eeeek:

Lane Lanes
Care to explain what a lane lane is?
I had a party on Saturday, and for various reasons, my ex was there. Needless to say it wasn't exactly all smooth going.
I spent the night dreaming of getting off with one of her mates. Scary stuff. Maybe I should take up her offer of meeting her new mates at uni...
That is always a good idea

I very rarely remember my dreams, doc said that everyone dreams but the ones we don’t remember are probably boring. It seems even the good ones fade fast but the boring ones go almost immediately. I am creative all day long so it makes sense that I take a break and am boring while I sleep (as long as I am not boring all the time I am in bed :eyebrows: )

Care to explain what a lane lane is?
A lane lane is a singular member of a cult of highly evolved and intelligent giants. The cult lives in huge stone castles, with red curtains, at the end of long lanes. The founder of this mystical cult was called Mr Lane which is where they take their name from. The cult founder also invented the habit of eating young children of toast using Utterly Butterly butter and Hovis bread

I have pretty involved, bizarre dreams. I should remember to write them down because when I first wake up, they're vivid, but even by the time I've returned home from walking the dogs (awake about 1/2 hour), I've forgotten them, but remember that they were cool and I wanted to remember. :furious3:

To dream that you are in stranded on a island, signifies that you are in a rut and do not quite know what to do with your life. On the other hand, you may be seeking some solitude. Perhaps you are running away from a situation instead of trying to confront it.
To dream that you are walking in a dark cave, signifies refuge or the unconscious mind. It also denotes that you experience some unexpected misfortune or disagreement.
To see a ship in your dream, denotes that you are exploring aspects of your emotions and unconscious mind. The state and condition of the ship is indicative of your emotional state. If it is a cruise ship, then it suggests pleasant moods. If it is a warship, then you are experiencing feelings of aggression.
To dream that you are sailing the high seas in a ship, denotes that you are standing tall in times emotional turmoil.
You seem troubled :laugh4:

Eh, in one of mine I was hanging out with a couple of my friends on my backyard, in Finland, in winter. A wasp stung my other friend, who became dangerously swollen. Me and the second friend went inside, leaving the first friend out, and I said "It's nice to be back in Oklahoma."
One dream i had I was posting in the .org

Dreams? I love dreams! I daydream, sleep-dream, night-but-awake-dream, and do all sorts of dreamy things. I'm dreamy by nature, you see. Some genes probably screwed up somewhere along the way between random scientific term #1 and random scientific term #2.
The best moments I remembered in my life -- the ones that do not involve any serious external stimulations -- are ones after a very long night's sleep, waking early in the morning when the sun is yet to be too bright, and freshly remembering a wonderful dream.
My dreams vary in character at great lengths, but ones that I actually even remember right now (with an inkling or two, of course, not whole chapters of a book) are often grounded in characters in real life: old, beloved friends; cousins I haven't seen in a long time; sweethearts of the past, etc. And while they often involve interactions with them of some kind that are also grounded in reality (talking, conversations mainly; no, nothing explicit -- in fact, I remembered once a dream about my favorite cousin and how he was supposedly dead and I was talking to his spirit; or was it dying and just talking to him? -- and I woke up with tears), the settings are the parts that are surreal. Places mix up, architectural structures come out of nowhere. Environs switch and change (from what little I could remember). Schools that for some reason are also grand malls (complete with a sense of height and modernity that came with them -- no, I can't explain how one joins the other, and how I go between them), locations that had me confused how I'm talking so amicably between a friend of today and someone whom I haven't met in ten years and live in another country...
I believe I call those feelings nostalgia. Or bittersweetness. Either way, I would've loved to sleep that long and wake up like that everyday. Alas, it does not happen very often in modern lifestyle.
Heh, I'll describe a dream for you I had some time ago (couple years).
'twas in space, on a spaceship, sometime in the future. The mighty heavens looked cold and dark, filled with stars, as we found ourselves on this mighty vessel of mankind.
We were with five, as I was the Sergeant of this space combat exploration team. Armed like a typical military and all-purpose squad, we laid slain and wounded on the deck.
'twas quite a sight in there, as I don't remember what exactly had happened to us. But one thing was clear: we were dying, and dying fast.
Our equipment not only existed of spacesuits and the likes, but an advanced head visor to more properly analyze surroundings, and as it was connected to our physique, we could even view personal physiological data.
As we stood there, we knew our spaceship's systems were badly damaged. All we knew was that there clearly must've been a fight between us and some foemen who had given us hell - that or there must've been some kind of serious malfunction of the vessel. Even our life support system was down, and oxygen was scarce. We knew we were going to die, badly wounded, far away from our loved ones, from our home planet, with low morale, and even despair possibly.
We were sitting or laying on the ground, slightly scattered, some against a crate or anything to relieve their weakened bodies from supporting themselves. We hardly spoke, for we knew that if we did, we'd waste valuable air.
As I sat against a crate, as squad leader, I looked through my visor. This piece of technology was really quite a thing. But maybe the information was too much to bear. I noticed a percentage shown, and it said my health was at 40%.
My Corporal, one of my buddies, a brother in arms, sat next to me, in pain, and gestured me to look in a certain direction. One of our men had just died. He lay there slain, and lifeless, with his blood around him. We were in too much of a bad shape to weep; it would only consume energy. But the knowledge that we were soon to follow our brother into the next world was a hard burden.
I thought to myself: "Is this really to be so? Are we to end like this?" Another loyal soldier died soon after that thought, by lack of oxygen to the brain. And as he passed away, the others followed him shortly.
As my war buddy was close, I saw he was slowly drifting away from consciousness occasionally. 'tis as if he was losing his sanity, as he also started crying uncontrollably at times, uttering words and soft exclamations that couldn't be understood. We looked at each other, "Hey man, hang in there," I said. "You ain't gonna die, right? We gonna survive this **** and when we get home we're gonna take a nice trip, and do some fishing, like the ol' times."
He didn't reply, but just gazed in front of himself, shaking. I took his hand as if it was a typical friend greet, like two strong hands held firm upwards, only to notice his hand wasn't that strong. "Hey," softly spoken in an attempt to save energy. "Talk to me, man. You're a tough son of a *****, you got that?"
No response. "****," I thought. "He's lost." As his weak hand only became weaker, I knew he was gone when his hand's power totally disappeared, as it symbolically felt to the ground when I released it. It was a dark day, and the Gods had abandoned us.
If we could only have reached Base, to ask for immediate support we wouldn't be in this ****. But the damn radio was broke, and even if our engineer guy tried to repair it, and look for alternatives to establish contact through the ship's systems, it failed.
I started to breathe difficultly: the air was mostly gone, and now the end was coming closer. As the only one left, I was still proud of my men, whom I had fought with countlessly in honorable battle. I was thinking of the good times we had, and remembered this one time we were up against two hostile alien(?) squads, all by ourselves. Outgunned, outnumber'd, cut off from artillery support. But we still gave 'em hell, as we applied rogue tactics on them. "****, I'm gonna miss that."
As my difficult breathing continued, I looked through my visor, only to see my health percentage slowly diminishing. 40%, 38, 35. The vision seen with this visor was a bit Terminator-like. Slightly reddish, and computerized or pixelated, like Robocop's sight.
20%! 10! "Ah ****! Get me outta here! Somebody!! Nooo!"
As the number got to 8, it started going down real fast. During this time I became really tense, nervous, mind-wrecked, and desperate, as I saw my whole life from infancy to the present flashing by in seconds.
8, 7, 5, 2.... and at that point what I saw became electronically scrambled, and my eyes felt extremely weary, like the whole body, gasping for air to survive. The physical pain was too much, and as the counter reached 0, the scrambled vision, sight, went to black, as if an old TV was being shut down.
Exactly then I woke up, and as I died in the dream, in the real world, laying in my bed, it felt as I was really dead. The whole body was aching, and I couldn't move, as if all the bodily functions were either badly damaged or just plain shut down.
I stood up with great difficulty and effort, and fell onto the ground, really gasping for air, in pain. The other strange thing was that it felt like I was still in the dream, like being in the dream for one half, and being in the real world for the other half.
I finally managed to get up, and stumbled to my door in the dark on feeling, reaching for recognizable objects of the surrounding - couldn't see ****. But what I DID see, was "the other half" at the same time. That visor thing I spoke of earlier was still active, and the health percentage shown was randomly moving in-between 1% and 0,1%.
So still in this state of pain (or death?), I opened the door and got in the hallway. The bathroom was there a couple meters away and I went to it slowly. What I saw was the inside of the spaceship, as I was partly in the dream still, as if this spaceship was the "identical dark version/dimension" of the real-world house.
I got to the door and it was a tightly locked one - what would you expect(?); it looked like a spaceship door magnetically sealed.... it didn't move an inch. Desperate to open this door, my vision was still scrambled. I yelled and cursed at it. "You ******* piece of ****, open up!" I had my hands on the real-world door handle, enforcing it to abide my will, but it didn't go.
Then I heard something behind me in the dark (and in the "dream"). I slowly and painfully turned myself. "ARRRRGH!!!" ----
Then it ended. When I woke up in the morning I was lying on the hallway floor, almost naked, and messy, and ****** up. To this day I still don't know what it was that got me. I only remember it was something strange-looking, and moving VERY fast, just before it all ended.

When I dream, the only ones that I remember are either too hot to put in this thread, or they are really weird.
However, one that comes to mind from when I was younger:
Every time I had a cold, I had this one dream. I was just standing in the middle of a desert and counting how many steps it was from one place to another. I just kept counting these astronomically high numbers, and there were numbers floating around me all the time and people sayig numbers. Then I would just wake up with a cold sweat. It was really scary in an, "OMG, I'm going insane," kinda way.

This guy's got the right idea..
I was in a big empty white room. Utter silence, peaceul, but so peaceful, it was manacing. The room began to shake, and the far wal started to fade into nothing. As this nothingness slowly reached me, I opened the door behind me and fell into a great abyss. As I was falling in the dream, I was dimly aware of feeling wood on my side. I woke up to find myself on the floor, with a bad bruise on my elbow.
I never, and I mean never, remember my dreams. I assume I have them as I've goten the tail end of a few. But that's it. I don't remember any details beyond having dreamed something.

All I remember about last night was snow, and lots of it. It was all falling around my house really furiously making everything while in matters of minutes. I then was unfortunate to not remember anything else. I wonder what it was all about?
I felt someone was in my bedroom. But nowhere was there!
Maybe a dream?

I once had a dream that i would go on a very long and boring journey. After a few weeks of this dream occuring it was in fact that this happened. My family decided to go and have a "drive" i call this, "a bored". This kept happenin'. I kept predicting things that were going to happen. Has this ever happened to anyone else, or anything of the simmilar kind.??

It's really wierd because I will get this feeling and not remember where it has came from. I think I need some serious :help: with this! :laugh4:

Actually, deja vu is an extremely common phenomenon. Your brains are just having fun with messing around the various communications within them, so that you think you have done something before when you were doing it. If you sit back clearly and think afterwards you'll realize that you don't really know anything at all about the "first time" that supposedly reminded you of the "repeat."
Similar things like you having "predicted" the action before (though not sure when exactly you "predicted" it and how) are quite the same.
Mind you, I do admit I love certain weird functions the brain does - dreaming included. I think I believed in reincarnation for while because of repeated deja vu occurrences a long time back [I must've done this before...in another life! </epiphany>]

Yep, I remember reading an interesting article about deja vu, which stated that it was probably due to things that have just happened being inadvertantly put into long-term memory, so you think they happened a while back, as well as now.

Last night I dreamt of a football match: denmark - sweden, 2 - 0. Only thing of the game I remember is that the last goal was scored with the shoulder from a corner.
I hope it is a sign for the eu quali round in june.
