From the internets. Btw, you might want to avoid quoting 750k images ~;)

I have always wondered how British Actors can mimic american accents so readily (but rarely do), yet almost every American Actor that thinks they can successfully mimic a British Accent end making them sound either drunk or fruity.

Talent? :)

I like House. I especially like the parodies of House on Scrubs.

I enjoy House, specially for the absolute display of acting talent that Laurie puts on in every episode.

the only bad thing about the show is that practically all the episodes have almost the same main story (with some secondary plots that change a bit more).

it goes (with little ocasional variation) like this:

1-Patient comes in with weird, rare, hard-to-diagnose disease
2-After a small moment of reflection House diagnoses the disease
3-Treatement is given to the patient
4-Patient almost dies/goes crazy/get´s worse/ turns blue with pink polka dots...whatever
5-House realizes he mis-diagnosed
6-House re-diagnoses the disease
7-The patient is cured
8-The End.

I also enjoy the way Scrubs is using Dr. Cox character (House is a bit of a rip off of Cox come on!) to make fun of House.

I think House is one of the best things on TV at the moment. Admittedly, the plots are formulaic, but the wonderful writing and Hugh Laurie's brilliance completely outweigh this.

Mrs. Kukri has a crush on Hugh Laurie, so I try hard to hate the show. But, just as I prepare to sneer at the TV, the story sucks me in, and I end up liking it. Damit.

Lisa Edelstein is easy on the eyes.

Pretty much all of the main characters are rather attractive, really.

Yes, but I also enjoy watching it.
I think it's the side-stories and the jokes which make it enjoyable, not so much the main story itself.

Just curious, Husar: do you get the english version or the dubbed-in Deutsch one? I'll never forget watching Miami Vice in German when I was stationed there in the 80's. (Crockett's very deep German voice (compared to his actual squeaky voice): "Kine Bewegung, Mee-ah-Mee Wice") . Hilarity ensued. :beam:

I don't watch tv often, most shows are crap anyways, but House is one of the few shows that I watch faithfully :2thumbsup:

We get everything dubbed.
The only thing I can remember watching with subtitles was record of lodoss war.
Apart from that maybe passion of the christ because mel gibson wanted it to be like that, but I haven't seen it.
And I'm actually quite used to it, so I don't mind it, sometimes the original voices sound strange to me(on youtube for example) because I'm used to their german voices.:sweatdrop:

I love House -- it's one of the few shows I make sure to regularly record with my DVR. (Speaking of which, I still have to watch this week's episode!) Yeah, the overall plot is formulaic, but I'm pretty sure that's NOT the reason most of us watch it. ~;) Hugh Laurie is brilliant, and the Cottages definitely get their moments too. Kudos the writers as well -- they give the actors quite a bit to work with.

I love the show too. Watch it every Monday. Fortunately, Swiss tv screens most shows with the dual language option. So I watch it in English. I have not watched a dubbed version of anything in years. Can't do it anymore. Makes me cringe and actually quite aggressive...
