Some of you may know about the announcement (http://www.thelordzgamesstudio.com/)of the new Lordz Games Studio, who will be working with Slitherine. They will be doing a game set in the Napoleonic era and Morgan Casey will be doing the music for it. You can drop by their forum at http://www.thelordzgamesstudio.com/forum/index.php and give her some support (she posts over there).
To celebrate the announcement of the new studio and their cooperation with Slitherine for the new game, the studio did a short video using the game engine they will use. The music in the video is a collaboration of Morgan and Nick too, btw. You can see it on their download page: http://www.thelordzgamesstudio.com/index.php?page=downloads
Just thought you'd like to know!
(For the new folks, Morgan (Casey) and Nick (Wylie) did all of the music for Europa Barbarorum.)
Very nice. Congrats to both of them.
For a while there, I thought you were going to say that they hooked up, to which I would answer, "Yes! Another EB success story."
Holy cow, the Lordz modding team of the Napoleanic mods are now full-time game devs? And the wonderful composers who did EB music are there with them? That is some awesome stuff, congradulations! Man, I wish EB got something like that going for them someday. *fingers crossed*
Hey guys, Nick here. I just want to clarify, I am not involved with the LGS project. Morgan is their composer. I only helped out with writing this one piece for the video.

I certainly wasn't trying to imply that you were Nick. I thought I worded it clearly enough - if someone gets that impression then they just aren't reading it (naughty Wonderland!). I understand you don't want folks to think this is misleading though. I could have said "OT: Morgan Update (with a little Nick Update too! :laugh4:)" but that isn't very nice .

The video isn't showing any game engine. It is displaying some random characters rigged with Biped, linked to motion-capture sequences that are included in 3dsmax' Character Studio. I recognize them because I've used them myself to stress-test my own 3dmodels.
I will say that their 2d artist is remarkably skilled. I preferred his drawings over this silly video. ~:)
This is a welcome move though. And if they can make their own 3d engine rival that of M2TW, I'd be very glad. I wish them all the best.
