Nice work - it illustrates how important river crossings can be in the campaign map:yes:

@afp, that was not a useful contribution to this discussion. Please refrain from flaming other members

the pick of the field of battle looks great, many corpses :)

Great outcome too :egypt:

You kicked their assess
but tell me was it on vh?

yes, was VH.

i only play VH/VH.

i used Deus lo Vult 1.9, and Lusted's LTC 2.0, I was using Lusted's in this battle, but I used DlV in all my current campaigns.

My tactics are this: keep small, keep strong, keep fluid. I have a small number of elite men, and i make sure i never do anything that can get anyone killed without the end result justifying it.

my tactics work on MP and SP. I keep a field army of 4 Heavy inf, 2 heavy cav, 1 lgith cav (kill routers and ambushes), and 4 or 5 missile units.

i micromanage and keep my men either figthing or resting. 5 mins of fighting, 5 mins resting as another unit moves forward to replace them. I never engage more than half my men at any time. I like to keep a few units "on the fly" to take up slack, fill any holes, or replace tired men as they pull back to rest.

I only flank with cav, i never incirlce the enemey, i make sure they have an "escape route" so they run away... and can be captured. I also release all captured prisoners. unless my strategic situation would dictate otherwise. (Eg: capturing more men than you deployed, and there are enemy armies nearby that could overwhelm you if they got ANY extra numbers.)

I like to kill of my enemies peicemeal, and do the max amount of damage, using the least amunt of force and effort.

Loosing only 133 men and killing more then 4000 means that either your installed mods have been unbalanced your games, or you play easy or you cheat.
Its not fun in playing such games for me at all. Also I do not consider a big achivement at all when seing at other. Sorry about this.

how can u cheat in a battle? and i said i was using Lusted's mod. it isnt unbalanced (afaik)

i had 3 gold chevron and fully upgraded swordsmen and my general was the same. they kicked total ass. my infantry killed over 800 by themselves. then broke and ran. they were simply overwhelmed. my cav charged, retreated WAY backm rested, charged them as they ran at me all broken up, and layed them down. :knight:

i repeated until done. they were tired and battered. alot of them ran away, then reformed. i was never facing EVERYONE all at once except at the first crossing. :juggle2:

btw, y so bleak? and what with saying its not possible to do it??? cuz you havent??? we have walked on the moon... but you most likely havent, so we havent done that either huh? :whip:

ALSO:

their armies consisted of ALOT of militia. not many spears at all. my cav walked right thru em.

hell, half of them were highlanders and town militia. at least half. i should have the settings saved... it was a custom battle anyways.

Yeah nice, I never managed to win such a "lost battle" :(
although I win almoast every battle as a heroic battle ( I also bet on small but elite armys, but I use mostly heavy infatry and missile, only a general or 1 heavy cavalry to better those routers or to engage from side when my infatry gets circled) :smash:
but I do not acieve such results :viking:
Cheers man :smash: keep stomping them... :)

Well done. Great battle.

It reminds me of a good old days of STW when my 200 or so worrior monks defeated armies over 1500 strong. Elite high moral infantry can take on a lot of enemy infantry before they all die because thwey do not retreat.

 Honour to warrior monks
 Honour to knights.

nope. if u look at the picks, u can see there are noble swordsmen and highland nobles.

half were highlanders and militia. the other half were swordsmen and archers.

ill see if i cant get some pics up from this battle where u can see a blanket of armor.

Great work, yup the key to battle is timing and charging which I guess u did.

Pity the ai can't do the same.
