Does anyone have a mod, to include Arqubruisers and muskeeters, and cannons to the byzantines?

I see to be having all sorts of problems trying to create them.

All you really need is to create a texture or pick one from another faction you want to use.

So you can!! just copy over? eg: all the files for 1 unit can be renamed and used, they just sjow up with the other factions colours?

Info cards can just be copied from the appropriate folders in the UI folder. Textures need to be defined in the modeldb file, but you can copy/paste an entry for another faction and change the name to the new faction. For example, I gave the English muskteteers by copying the Venice entry and assigning it to England. If you want them to have a unique texture, things get a lot more interesting. You'll have to create a texture for them first and assign it in the modeldb file.

Hey, not to practice necromancy, but how exactly would I go about giving England musketeers? I know it's a little early, but frankly, I want some prehistoric (and ahistoric) redcoats.

Anybody who's patient and nice enough to help, bear in mind that I've never modded a game before, so you'll have to be very specific and use newbie lingo.
