Hello All ~:thumb:

I was playing on BI today, after remembering i had it. So i started a campaign as the goths. When i was using my diplomat to keep the samartions (spelling?) away to allie with them, i had already offered alliance and they acceted, then trade rights and finaly i was thinking would map infromation benefit my cause for europal domination. So i offered it, and as the kind peple they are they accepted. However, there was no change to the map. So i figured it's no biggy. Until i had allied with the romans, from the red side (i can't remember if they are easten or westen) and i knew that had a vast empie at the begingnig of the campaign. So i reapted what i had done with the samartions, and the same thing had happened, there wasno change with the map. So i thought is it just a simple glitch or is the supposed to happen. So i just thought i would ask the knowledgable people at the .org, I'm still rather confused :inquisitive: but aah well. Any help would be aprreciated ~:thumb:
Cheers

Hi,

there is no change in the map when you receive map info. The only "change" that happens is that the locations of the other faction's cities arerevealed to you. Their status may change though over time ie by the time you reach one of them they might have been conquered by someone else. When you give map info the same happens ie the AI can see which cities you control and where are they.

The alliance is not stable at all - it might be broken at any time - and usually it is.

The trade rights do make a difference IIRC when you trade with another faction having rights your profits are higher.

I hope this helps.

By the way: the red romans are the western ones and the purple romans the eastern ones.

Actually, their wouldn't be any change in the map if you offered it. You would see which provinces they owned if you demanded map information and they accepted.

Remember to always choose the right one, demand:(blank) or offer:(blank).
