Currently in my russian campaing im trying to destroy mongols by assassinating all of their family members, killed all of the generals in their huge stack (were about nine armies - so there were 9 generals - all are dead atm) all of the generals were faction leaders 1 by 1, so it seems there is less chance that there were another family member, but they are still present in the game :(.
Any1 knows where are the other mongol's generals might be?
Mongols appeared at province that is at north from Tbilisi (forgot city's name there) and roaming there atm (already about 8-10 turns).

P.S. ive used about 15 assassing if some1 is curious, 5 or 6 of them are dead now.

If you are getting frustrated searching for that last scroundrel, just use the toggle_fow command and look for him that way. :idea2:

I was yust going to say the same, although if you do not want to cheat go with spyies into forrest or other ambush sites, there they mostly hide when you can not spot the otherwise :dizzy2:

For the last dozen or so turns, the Mongols in my game have a had a general and a couple units sitting on a boat in the Red Sea...I think they may be the survivors of a battle that ran away after routing. I'm amused by the idea of this general taking a cruise to relax while his compatriots fight me to the death.:laugh4:

Anyway, check any ships the Mongols may have; he could be taking a joyride.

If his armies are clumped together, they should be easy to spot. However, if the Khan's stack is on its own, just try attacking with a stack (or stacks of your own)

A note - i don't believe that the mongols can be destroyed on the first or second waves.

If you are trying to do so than you'll fail.

Maybe another wave appeared south near Baghdad or Yerevan? The army is still around all right. If you destroyed the 1st wave it'd say "faction destroyed" until the next wave of Mongols appears.

Btw, it IS possible to smash each wave the moment it appears. I've done it before. However the method to do so is EXTREMELY HARD AND TEDIOUS. Since the Mongols have better troops and generals you will need at least 1.5 times their armies of your best troops. Which means you'll go bankrupt in no time unless you are very well built up. Just assemble your armies somewhere in between the Middle East and Russia and move them as appropriate when they appear. Done in timescale 0.5 and M/M. The battle was colossal. But I had to empty lots of my settlements to achieve this, and perhaps hence this is actually the least viable method.

Actually no. You only need 30% of their troops to beat them decisively, using superior tactics and some brains. Check out my "How to beat the Mongols" thread for lifechanging lessons.

Or you could spam 10x their number in militiamen and beat them with numbers via autocalc :laugh4:
