The ever vigilant coilition today scored a great success in Mosul .

Isn't there a rule about posting false and misleading topics? And of course, no links as always.

*cough*trolling*cough*

Hey I only wrote what was claimed , how is it misleading or false .:laugh4:

I am just repeating the original story , would you like the updated story Xiahou ?
It isn't very good news really , another screw up in fact .
Its wasn't as originally claimed armed Al-qaida linked terrorists it was Kurdish guards , it wasn't a terrorist bunker it was a guardhouse , it wasn't a bomb factory being guarded , it was an office belonging to the President of Iraqs political party .

But hey since you don't seem to be posting rubbish about "good news from Iraq" anymore I thought I would have a try .

I guess this (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/6346901.stm) is what you're talking about.
Unless I'm ruining some sort of game between the two of you by providing the actual link, in which case, please, do tell me, and I'll edit my post. I hate intervening in domestic disputes :clown:

Article:
Eight Iraqi soldiers have been killed and six wounded in a US air strike in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul, local officials have said.

The officials described Friday's incident as an act of "friendly fire", which hit an Iraqi army position in the east of the city.

The US military said five men were killed, and said the intended target had been a suspected al-Qaeda cell.

It expressed its "deepest sympathies" to the families of the dead.

The US said the attack was launched after its soldiers had identified armed men in a bunker near a building that was reportedly used for bomb-making.

The troops called for the men to put down their weapons in Arabic and Kurdish, before launching the strike, the US said.

It is not clear if a rocket was fired by a helicopter or a plane.

The men who died were all Kurdish.

One local official told the BBC that the victims were Peshmerga fighters.

Peshmergas spent decades resisting the Saddam Hussein regime.

Many joined the Iraqi army after he was ousted.
