It's around 1520. I've got an Explorer's Guild Headquarters, a University, and Carracks (obviously). I got the note that "the world is round," but I never got the notification that the New World had been discovered. I won the game some turns ago, around the 1430's I believe, but I didn't think that mattered. I tried to just force my way to the New World and this is what I got, none of my units can leave the ships. I am playing with a pretty heavily modified version of the game, but the only things I did in the strategy.txt file was unlock all practical factions (not Aztecs, invaders, or the Papacy) and set the game's end date at 1630 (giving me fifty extra turns before it "ends"). Anyone know what's going on?

Laconic,
Sail north...

The landmass is protected by some kind of...er... anti-shark nets, except the North...

Good luck!

I had the same problem. You have to go further north to disembark.

They're cliffs, and you can't climb up cliffs. Go North to find a beach.

Just turn the above where you are now.....

I hope you are sending reenforcements ! The Aztecs throw lots of full stack units at you after you attack their first city.:duel:
