Purely out of interest, why are they limited to a certain width? I can't see any reason not to have them span the whole screen, and it seems silly to have 3 lines when one would do...

I'm sure there's a very sound technical reason for this :laugh4:

These signature bars seemed like a good idea at first, due to their having less depth. Some members though seem to have a collection of them about 6 deep, plus a regular text signature below that. Two or three is reasonable, six and a text signature several lines deep is not.

Depth is the issue i'm taking about here - i'm wondering why text does not wrap across the whole screen but rather hits an 'invisible barrier' and wraps.
