Best Muslim Faction is?

I am getting a bit bored playing christian and orthodox factions, I have before played with the moors but tehy did not convince me... :embarassed:

So who is better now: Egypt or Turkey?

Who has some really cool units?

Timurids. They have it all.

EDIT: ohh between Egypt and Turkey ? Hard call, Egypt has Mamluks. I've only played with Turks though, so can't really offer anything much of substance, except I LOVE playing the Turks.

I really enjoy the Turks, their early armies are a blast to play with, as almost all of them have bows. Their biggest challenge is dealing with heavy cavalry, but once the Janissaries get rolling, they have the potential to form THE strongest armies of any faction.

The Turks are good all-around, infantry and cavalry-wise. The Egyptians have Mamluks, which are good troops, but Turks have sipahis which IMO is just as good anyway. Haven't really played Egyptians, only fought them, but I'd go with Turks just because they're so well-rounded. Great starting area as well.

Turks IMO. They have cooler units. Although Timurids are also cool.

Turks are stronger than the Egyptian pyramid-huggers.
But Moors are the most bestest Muslim faction.

I would have to say the turks because of the JHI, ability to produce top quality troops from cities, and jannisary musketeers which owns all. On top of this, you start off in an excellent position to expand with multiple rebel cities to the south and a chance to do a quick blitz to nab nionae and constantinople effectively crippling the Byzantines. Finally, the Mongols and the Timurids spawn near your empire letting you fight out some huge and awesome battles

Egypt if you want to win pretty easily, despite the good fights with the invading Mongols and Timiruds.

Turks if you like more challenge and fun.

Egypt if you like having armies that completely outclass enemies in the early moves and don't mind having so-so units later.

Turks if you love late period power units.

I'm gunna have to go with Egypt, better early armies, but in the late game, Royal Mamluks beat all other cavalry head on, and the Hashashin can hack thier way through just about everything, just back them up with armor piercing ranged units kurds/gunners and you've got an (almost) unstoppable army. Expensive as all hell though...
