View Full Version : Western and eastern auxilia
Playing around with the unit cards for these units I noticed one of the two is a mercenary_unit (western) and the other (eastern) not. I was wondering whether thats a bug or intentional?

Possibly a devious way to get a new unit from an existing model. It might be that "merc trick" they are always referring to that basically allows us a new unit where unit or model limitations before restricted it.
I thought that was it, as it was in the same model as the vigiles in descr_model_battle. Cost me an extra 5 minutes to figure out why my pics didnt show up though :laugh4: .
Tnx!

Doesn't that mean that when playing as any faction but Romani, western auxilia can be bribed into your service? :inquisitive:
If it frees up another model slot though, good idea.

Only if your non-Roman faction is listed on the "ownership" line in EDU. Which it isn't.

Ah, thanks. I was under the impression that units listed as "mercenary" could be owned by any faction.
