Technology Advancement

Do you get higher technologies based on the year, or turn number? because I modded my time so that 1 turn= 1 year instead of 1 turn= 2 years.

Only 1, Gunpowder. The rest you get with the appropriate tech level. Not sure what turn it shows up however.

The advancements are as they were in rtw (maybe before as well):
it all depends on the population of a settlement :)
so if you upgrade walls or castles, and for each only one specific building type,
you will have latest era troops within the middle of the game :smash:
