Now we have ourselves a MP edu, why not try and get some MP action?
Let's try to arrange some battles and stuff.

Everybody should get xfire(http://www.xfire.com). Its like MSN but for games. We used it the RTR MP community, worked great. My name is lovejoy3 on xfire, add me and we can play tonight. :)

I would be happy to join MP with you guys, yet I am truly terrified of the lobby, all the people, who is who, people kicking me out of games because I don't know how to use the chat system thingee and the complete hostility that some people have towards me due to my annoying question :eeeek:

Fondor and I can't get it towork together. One of us has a bad install, I don't know. But I reïnstalled 0.8 and 0.81 already.

Who more has to try, perhaps we can figure it out than.

Moros, are you sure you haven't been using anything from our internal builds? For instance, perhaps one of you entered the script fixes we talked about for the hotfix?

Have you both used the mp edu?

I have a strange feeling regarding mp and eb, we haven't had a single report from a game that worked but multiple reports from people saying that it does't work (v0.8).

YEs both used the same edu's. We even mailed them to eachother to make sure we had the same ones. Or one of our builds was corrupt or It just won't work with 0.81. Something to do with -mod:EB perhaps?

When playing multiplayer, I am 99% sure that the game checks ALL files, not just EDU, DMB. Therefore the versions must be identical in all respects.

if you come on to MP (contact me on X-fire) then I will explain everthing to you

also I've put up a notice on RTR forum so we should be getting a few RTR MP players I guessing will have 5 or more of them come to EB MP community

Okay I think we might have found the problem. It's about the map.rwm. We need to have the same one, generated by one guy and used by all. I'll upload mine, than we'll use that one. Make back ups of yours tough and swap them when playing Campaign again, just to be sure.

Sadly, Xfire seem to cause to have terrible amounts lag with EB to the point, at which, I can't seem to play very well anyhow. I hopefully will be able to join you expert MP veterans when I get my new PC in the near future (saving up for something good). Ah well, good luck with your MP battles guys!
