No, our fleets represent many numbers of ships. A full fleet would not be able to make it up most rivers. Also it screws up trade.

well there are some examples of full fleets on rivers, like germanicus on the rhine. Trade works well in AE, so i dont really see the problem here either. But if its not in ok.

I've considered the trade issue, would it not be compensated for by increased income from other sources? If not, besides the tutorials on the org and twcenter, is there any information one could give someone who wanted to make a much larger EB map? I think, second only to recruitment, the biggest problem in EB is the small map.

Small map? It's massive! Distance from capital is hard enough as it is for a real empire. Lets not forget that EB is at the max province limit. Bigger map wont mean more cities.

This is true, but by increasing the distance between cities, each battle may mean more, and the 4 turn per year will make more sense.
