Campaign characters

I notice the characters (ie spies, generals, ships, diplomats, etc) are much blotchier than in 8.0. I'm pretty sure it's not a 8.1 thing but something in my settings, can anyone tell me how to restore my generals to prettiness?

Someone take a look at the skin on the Sarmatian diplomat, it's all funky and you can see through it in some place. I know they are dirt poor but they could at least outfit their diplomats with a full toga lol.

I love the new cities too, and the fact that the diplomats aren't senile old men anymore.......

I haven't noticed any "blotchiness" with my characters, Imperator. Maybe changing the resolution of the Campaign Map would help.

We are basically just reusing vanilla spies/diplomats/assassins. With just a few changes like in the Sabaean one or some hair color change or cloth color change. We haven't done anything else really to them.
