I'm a newbie member to this forum (previously only guest), but I've been playing MTW and now M2TW since quite some time. And for M2TW, I really missed some nice info sheets, like the ones by Bushface for MTW, that show which building are available in which order, which units they produce, etc. And as nobody else seemed to do it, I finally had to do it myself ;-)
As it became too tedious to get all the infos from the building browser, I finally wrote a Perl script that analyzes the export_descr_buildings.pl file released by CA, and prints out condensed info. Then I just arranged those in a few boxes... :dizzy2:
And as I already was at it, I wrote another script that parses export_descr_units.txt, and makes tables that list all units, their stats. and attributes, and to which factions they're available.
However, I seem too silly to be able to upload here... After clicking on "Upload a file", I see only links for uploading battles, and the link to the guidelines just goes to some AtomicGamer homepage. Anyway, for now you can get those info sheets from
(argl, see next post...)
and maybe somebody tells me what I'm doing wrong :-) Or is it simply not allowed?
