Game Patch Question

Recently I had bought a new version of RTW, however, patching it to 1.5 doesn't work and I have a suspesion that it isn't a 1.0 game. The game that I bought was after EB came out and it has the EB "barbarian ambush" load screen with "Sega" on it. When I installed the patches and EB a error message with rather a rather strange script with all sorts of letters in random order came up. If I want EB to work on this game what should I do?

First thing, load up Vanilla see what the original version number was. :idea2: And my guess is you purchased RTW Gold, which is by default already patched to 1.5. If my guess is true, then you won't need to install any patches whatsoever, but you should install EB 0.8 in the file folder that contains your RTW executable.

One of the problems is though is that I don't know where to find the version number. :embarassed:

As I said, load up Vanilla. The version number will be displayed in the main menu, or at least should be. :yes:

Now, can anybody tell me what to do after I install it. I have an "EB" folder but when I run the game it runs as vanila RTW. What do I do?

You MUST run the game from the icon which was dropped onto your desktop as part of the v.81 install.
