From the Aedui CTD thread:
In fact I had nothing but problems with Aedui. BUT! Before I kept donwloading
0.8 and 0.81 separately. Then I got fed up with constant ctds and decided to download the whole new 0.81 (0.8 already included)
Tried that, and voila, no CTDs whatsoever. Try that, if you already didn't.
So there are a number of possibilities here:
1) The Full install is somewhat different from 0.8 + 0.8.1 patch
2) CTD experiences are due to corrupted downloads
Thus, it would be worth the effort to list what EB 0.8.1 you're using when you experience a CTD during the AI's turn.
Hmm... I patched my 0.8 to 0.81 and have had two AI turn CTD's. I'll try the full installer and see what happens.
I had a repeatable CTD with the full install. Posted the save in another thread. https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=79998

Hi everybody i am new here,at first i wanted to thank the EB team for the best mod i ve ever played!!!! Its great:2thumbsup: The only thing that makes me crazy are ctds :furious3: I played Total Realism and never had such problems. Could someone explain why are ctds so often( in comparison to other mods like Fourth Age Total War or Total Realism)? I installed 0.81 version(full) and started campaign as Romans but i was stopped in year 219 BC because during AI turn i got ctd again and again.. :wall: Will there be some new patch? Still i love this game and will keep playing unless ctd stops me :laugh4:

It might be because there's a city rebelling to the Eleutheroi, and the game tries to spawn an army for it - but fails, due to the fact that there's no structure present which would allow for "normal" recruitment. In other words:
find out what during what faction's turn your CTD occurs, - you might want to use the autosave for this - then access the Rome Shell (or the console whatever you prefer to call it), and type toggle_fow
If you have the script on, you'll be able to see *exactly* what's going on in the world - and in you can now check every settlement of the faction to see if any of them has so little public order that it would rebel next turn. If any of them does -> Rebelling city CTD confirmed. Now, rename the export_descr_buildings.txt (it's found in the ...\EB\Data\ folder; use a name you can track easily, should you wish to restore the original at a later time), and add the export_descr_buildings you can find following this link (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?p=1444460#post1444460)to your ...\EB\Data folder.
If errors continue to persist (especially the more inexplicable "weird" bugs), you may want to delete map.rwm, found in the ...\EB\Data\world\base folder, and start your campaign all over again.
Oh, and don't forget to thank fallen851 for enabeling it with 0.8.1 and MarcusAureliusAntoninus for creating it in the first place. ~;)

Hmm, I am having a repetitive CTD during the summer 231 end of turn whenever the Sweboz start their turn. I don't think any of their towns are close to rebelling but I'll have another looksie and see.
EDIT: http://farm1.static.flickr.com/183/405097934_1de6127a51_o.jpg
I appear to have found a culprit. Also, they have several towns at 70% and one 65%.
EDIT2: Curses! Foiled again! Apparently that's not the case, as it still crashed during Sweboz's turn and I had just downloaded the linked fix.
Usually the CTD happens once a faction completes its turn; that is when rebellions are calculated. Likely the Sweboz are not the culprits, but rather the faction before them, so you should probably check out those guys' settlements as well.

Well it definitely isn't the Aedui. They're all hunky-dory in terms of PO. However, after that linked fix was installed and it still CTD I decided I'd just unveil the FOW and see if I could figure out the exact moment when it crashed since the latest CTD had been at the end/in the middle of the Sweboz turn. But lo and behold the turn went thru without crashing. Dunno why, but that settlement that I show in the pic DID revolt, but to the Sauromatae. So now the Sweboz and Sauromatae are at war and the Sauromatae have been provided with a half stack of various cav with gold armor and silver weapons, somehow...
EDIT: And apparently the central government structure for my cities can now recruit Rorarii...so I guess the fix involved giving every central building a unit to recruit?
I haven't looked at Fallen's 0.81 fix, but you're probably right. The EB fix (which is not released yet) would allow you Accensi, not Rorarii.

Yep, that's because the game CTD's if it somehow fails to spawn an army when there's a civil revolt. Which may be why the old Governors House structure allowed for the recruitment of peasants. :juggle:
