To fight in a port town or on a coast (in the sea) in RTW? I've yet to battle in either location. Has someone made a map if not? Thanks.

Hi César Victor,
Sorry, but that is impossible in vanilla R:TW - if you get too close to the sea then the battlefield is moved away slightly and ports just don't show up at all. However, it may be possible with some modding, but you will have to wait for the professor or another tecno-genius to turn up before you can get a definitive answer on that one - my knowledge only expands as far as how to lose battles :stupido3: Cheers!

I believe I am using 1.5 and recently I was attacked very near the Tingi port and I ran along the beach with my cavalry as I tried to avoid the attacking army. No port or anything, but definitely can check out the tides!

I can see the ships near the coast, but not the port

Bah, I thought as much. I've managed to get a battle where I crushed the enemy against a river ala Caesar vs. the Helvetii.

I have modded up to 1.6. I have fought many battles on the edge of the Sea, and when I'm near a port, I see it. If you wheel down to a unit with their feet in the water, you will actually see and hear the waves.

A few weeks ago, I actually had a battle on the shores of the Sea of Galilee. It is largely a matter of where you are challenged, if you choose to fight or withdraw, or vice versa if you are the one challenging. I was challenged by two large Egyptian Armies. I withdrew, and found myself there. One of the Egyptian armies followed me, and I could not withdraw again, but with only one of them to fight, I didn't need to. The shores of the Sea of Galilee became an Egyptian Cemetary.

Strength and Honor.
