Around 261 BC in my Romani Campaign, I got a message that said the Arverni were at war with the Seleukids. Sending a diplomat to investigate, I found that the Arverni had conquered Ankyra in Asia Minor.:inquisitive:

They seem to have sent a sizeable stack to take Ankyra, ignoring the rich Greek provinces and a much-weakened Italy. I'm wondering if this could be the start of a great Gallic empire in the east. Perhaps I'll donate some money to them and see what they do.

I love the unpredictability of the Campaign AI. Has something strange like this ever happened in anyone else's campaigns?

P.S. I would also like to take a moment to thank the EB team for the wonderful v0.81 build:2thumbsup: .

Just as Kush rebels to Saba, Galatia rebels to Arveni. In order for Ankyra to have gallic buildings and appearance, there has to be a gallic faction as the founding faction.

The whole thing can be interesting though. I've seen them lose their holdings in gaul and start expanding in asia minor. Kind of like a side step to a galatian faction.

Oh, I didn't know that. Still, they started a war with the Seleucids so maybe they will take some of the Seleucid western cities and expand if I help them along a little.

It rebels either to the Arveni or Aduie, I seen it do both
