Hi folks - first post here but have picked up a fair amount of info in the past. Hoping someone can help.

Playing as Scotland, and getting near the end of my game (victory conditions for long campaign met - about 20 turns left to play) and own, well, a lot - Brazil, British Isles, Iberia, France, Half of North Africa, Scandinavia, Central Europe, top half of Italy, Jerusalem, Damascus and a few others.

Clicked end turn last night, and got the usual slide of tiles for announcements down the side of the screen. One there that I didn't recognise - it looked like a silver metallic icon on a red background. I started clicking from top to bottom (it was mid stack), and after clicking through a few it seemed to have disappeared. I'd never seen it before, and I'm sure (though it was midnight) that I didn't click it as I didn't get any info or announcements I hadn't seen before.

Anyone know what it might be?

Might be a Guild proposal Icon

Could be. I wouldn't have payed that much attention if it had popped up.

Had assumed it might be something more significant, as I really hadn't noticed it before despite having a few guild headquarters.

I've noticed them only after a few campaigns... It's probably because guild proposals are pop-up windows and the icon disappears when you answer ( accepting in or not ) which I usually do ...

But if another "more important" event ( plague or revolt or maybe pope death ) appears , the new pop up will reduce the guild one leaving the icon on the left side of your screen...
