View Full Version : Screenshot of the month submission thread. (March)
Hi EB-Fans,
Another month has passed and we got some great stuff. Too bad only one could win. However if you didn't win last time you can try again. If you haven't participated last month, well what are you waiting for? So get playing and take screenshots! ~;).

The rules again:
- Every fan can participate but can only submit one screenshot every month.
- Full screens, only the UI is allowed to be cropped out.
-You are allowed to edit them with photoshop, it is however not a requirement.
- All images must come from EB.
-All screenshots must be send in before the last week of the month in this thread.
Now how will we choose the winner? Well the EB-team will elect the 10 best (if the amount of submissions require it). A poll will be opened the last week of the month in which the fans, can cast their vote. The winner will be the one who got the most votes. The poll will close the last day of the month. The next day submissions for the next month can be made in a new thread.

Does everyone know how to remove banners and unit highlighting? They're options in the preferences.txt, and removing them will improve pictures mightily.
Yea I do I just prefer to keep them on for gameplay reasons, besides at least to me I think the banners actually add to the beauty of pics.

What would be awsomer is if the hastati attacked too.
Is there any tweek you need to make to get a proper screenshot taken? Every time I take one it comes out as a solid black tga file.

That's not what it is supposed to do (give blank screenshots). It is used to smoothe graphics so there aren't jagged pixels on the edges.
Hmm I use Anti-Aliasing for my AAR and the Screenshots are fine...
I've only been told this by others. My graphics card is so old Anti-Aliasing is greyed-out as an option for me so i wouldn't know :laugh4:. My guess is that it is a graphics card issue with regards to it working or not.
In my case:
XP, high AA: good screenshots.
Vista, any AA: black screenshots

Gask, Download fraps and take your screenies with that, you wont have to touch your video settings and it works just fine.
Anyone wonder why we don't havee a plain ol' screenshot thread, seems kinda limited to only be able to show off 1 screenshot a month..

Goidilic (irish) spearman. Its a goidilic, combined with a few casse units, army.
Today I had a relatively large Samnite rebellion (2 seperate armies).
Of course I trounced them, but in the second battle I saw this view and had to snap it.
Not going to win of course, because Blank and Obelics' pictures are amazing!

Is it just me, or have you somehow managed to take two screenshots of the same instant from slightly different angles? The first one is as if its the POV of the argyraspidai with his back to us in the middle of the second pic...
I prefer the first one. It seems to capture the dirty reality of battle better.
