i downloaded eb a couple of days ago ( 0.8 ) but when i installed it it never got past the loading screen and yes i have 1.5 ( for i have gold edition )

How long did you wait? Loading can take quite a long time for EB (around 5minutes for some people).

You are saying "when I installed it". Do you mean that the installation failed? In that case, restart your computer and try again. Possibly you would need to free up some space on your C: disk first. Check the amount available, it should be at least 500 MB, and double that if you're also installing to your C: disk.

I suggest you get version 0.81 rather than 0.8 BTW.
