Well he didn't get many votes , but I bet he didn't expect that result .

So a couple of things to think about .
What are your opinions about RSF (which isn't allowed to field candidates since it is a banned terrorist group) fielding its candidates as independants ?

Was the timing of the arrest helpful to the peace process , since he could have been arrested at any time ? plus since the crime was when he was provisional not continuity/real it is covered under the release scheme so he will not serve any time even if it goes to court and is convicted .

Finally , any thoughts on if this election will lead to a restoration of the assembly or will the governments be forced to push through implimenting Good Friday & St. Andrews by themselves ?

I thought we had stopped all this after we released the "POWs"

Maybe, maybe not. They probably could of lifted him anytime before the election but why not wait until he was eliminated from the election :idea2: :laugh4:

I think its very wrong for them to do so. But, at least none of them got a seat. I thought though that tjhey aren't an official party in NI because they wouldn't sign the 'Elected Authorities (Northern Ireland) Act'

At the minute it is unclear but, If the DUP pull out (As Sinn Fein are too politically savy to do so) they will lose almost all their support. It has been pretty clear in this election that the people wish for direct rule to end.
